The Buddhist Liturgy

this book (also known as the liturgy of Morning and Evening Services or the Daily Recitation Handbook) contains the liturgy for morning, evening and festival services in the Mahayana tradition. This is the form of Buddhism most prevalent in China, Korrea, Vietnam, and Japan. This Liturgy has an electic approach, as it is composed of texts reprresentative of the varios schools. This, the few moments of meditation at the beginning of each service is a form of Zen, The Pure Land Scholl is reflected. for example in the Amitabha Sutra Mantra and other dharanis. In fact, the Theravada tradition, too,is present in the Three Refuges.
