The Manuals of Ledi Dipanu is a huge work by the Burmese monk Ledi Sayadaw. He was born in 1846 is considered a main figure in the modern development of Burmese Buddhism. He personally had about 2.000 students and he delivered daily lectures. He established the monastery Leditawya and later a number of meditation centers around the country. This book is his legacy and it deals with the core teachings of Buddha and explains and discusses a range of concepts such as causality, Nibbana, stages of enlightenment and the fifty-four kinds of Mental Phenomena.
